Dimensional video backgrounds to boost engagement, creativity, and team connection in meetings on Webex

This feature was an exercise in flexibility and adaptability. User studies were conducted to understand what our specific Webex users wanted out of meeting filters and were surprised by the outcomes. We explored different technical ways to attain what we wanted to achieve with the engineering team and ramped up on video and motion design programs like Aftereffects. The business goal with these filters is to give users a way to connect in a light, human way to foster trust and engagement during a meeting.

A feature that at first glance appears somewhat frivolous can have tremendous business value. Something that encourages employees to connect with each other in a personal way and spark conversation creates an environment that fosters trust. And trust between team members is key to a productive relationship.
